Glen and Laurence’s Favorite Restaurants That You Can Walk To

With over 30 restaurants between Perkin’s Cove and the beach, Ogunquit has so many wonderful choices. Most require advanced planning so please call or email us with your choices (include all the reservation information we need: day/date, preferred time, # in your party) and let us take care of everything. Here are some of our favorites within walking distance:

MC Perkin’s Cove  The most romantic and lovely dining room in Ogunquit. A gorgeous rooftop deck with stunning views, professional service an innovative continental menu and a lovely walk to the cove via Marginal Way at sunset. What more could we want in our local favorite. www.mcperkinscove.com

That Place in Ogunquit  Inventive updated local joint for steak and seafood classics in a lively and charming spot. We think the food is outstanding. Just a stroll down Shore road. www.thatplaceinogunuquit.com

Roberto’s  Conveniently located across the street serving elegant hand-made Italian food. Focus on seafood, pasta and classics. We love everything about eating in the bar especially. Also, their adjacent takeout pizza place is outstanding. www.robertos/com

La Orilla  Alfresco restaurant serving modern dishes made with world cuisine influences. What does this mean you ask? It means order the paella and sangria which can’t be beat. www.laorilladining.com

The Front Porch  Fun local landmark with American fare in both the dining room and upstairs at the festive piano bar which is not to be missed. www.thefrontporch.com

Five-O Shore Road This bistro offers inspired continental cuisine and local seafood in an intimate environment with a fun lounge.  www.five-oshoreroad.com

Jackie’s Too  Known for it’s sweeping ocean views, this ocean front eatery serves up classic seafood, burgers, and pasta. This is where we want to have a beer and eat fried seafood outside on a sunny day. www.jackiestoo.com

Glen and Laurence’s Favorite Restaurants That You Can’t Walk to

These picks are outside of Ogunquit and worth the drive.

Cape Neddick Lobster Pound  Locally known as “The Pound” this is a classic New England seafood spot overlooking the water. We think this is the best Lobster pound in the area (not to be confused with the Ogunquit Lobster Pound). The steamed lobster and the lobster rolls can’t be beat. www.capeneddick.com

Joshua’s  A cozy Revolutionary War period home is the setting for inspired farm to table American meals. Intimate and elegant but casual, Joshua’s get top marks from us for a romantic evening. www.joshuas.biz

Billy’s Chowder House  Classic, casual chowder and seafood spot overlooking an estuary and wildlife preserve. We go here for lunch primarily but is great for a casual dinner. The clam chowder and fried seafood is the best in the area www.billyschowderhouse.com

The Steakhouse  This is a traditional steak house with not to missed homemade sides.  They don’t take reservations and the wait is long but it’s a must try for a local “a cheap and cheerful” steak dinner. We always order a steak with a salad and sides of baked beans, applesauce and house potatoes. www.the-steakhouse.com

The Ramp  Comfortable, easy going American pub located directly below the more upscale Pier 77. Lively and always packed the menu is comfort food and we just love it.  ww.pier77.com

Pedro’s  Scratch-made upscale Mexican food plus inventive margaritas in colorful and playful setting. The food is seriously good. www.pedrosmaine.com

Earth at Hidden Pond  If you want a high-end dining adventure amid striking natural decor this is the place not to be missed. www.earthathiddenpond.com

Hurricane Fresh seafood and continental cuisine this is our idea of a great night out with friends. We split a 3 pound baked-stuffed lobster and a few martinis and always agree we couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves more. www.hurricanerestaurant.com

Beachfire  Fun place for drinks and barbecue with outdoor seating and a large fire pit. www.beachfiremaine.com
